Crossland is partnering with Freedom Center Ministries, 810 Kingdom Come Drive, Cumberland, KY 40823.  The Freedom Center serves the people of Eastern Kentucky by meeting physical needs and sharing the Good News of Christ. The Center provides new and gently used shoes, beddings, household items, hygiene products, and clothing for a minimal donation. The center also coordinates construction and maintenance projects for needy homeowners in the community. Freedom Center Ministries is affiliated with the Kentucky Baptist Convention, the South Carolina Baptist Convention and the North American Mission Board.

Crossland Community Church Mini-Mission Trip  July 27-30, 2017.

Construction and maintenance along with food and clothing distribution

This mission trip is open to anyone 18 yrs or older, 14- 17 yrs. with parent’s permission and releases.

Cost: $45 for lodging.  The church is covering the costs of breakfast and lunch on site.  Also, you will need to bring enough money to cover the cost of 5 meals (approximately $40).

Tentative schedule:

Thursday, July 27, 9:00 a.m.  – Leave CCC Bowling Green. Eat lunch on the road.

3:30 pm eastern -  Arrive Cumberland, KY.  Meet with George and Robin Lewis, directors of Freedom Center Ministries.

We will find a restaurant for our evening meal.  Afterwards, settle into the Agape House.  Our group will be staying and taking breakfast and lunch there.

Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29

8:00 Breakfast at the Agape House

 9:00 Meet at work sites – Details about work to be done will be forthcoming.

NN – Lunch at the Agape House or at the work site.

5:00 – Break for the day – Meal on our own

Sunday, July 30 – Breakfast at Agape House

                  9:00 – 9:30 a.m. Depart for Bowling Green (lunch on your own)

What to Bring:

¨ All toiletries; towel & washcloth; soap, toothbrush & tooth paste; deodorant; contact solution & case

¨ Sunscreen and bug repellent

¨ Laundry bag for dirty clothes

¨ Bedding - twin size fitted sheet (plastic mattress cover is recommended); blanket / sleeping bag; pillow

¨ Medicines

¨ Water bottle

Also, Bible, notebook and pen; safety goggles; crowbar / pry bar;  paint brush;  hammer; nail apron; tape measure and pencil.
